Hello & welcome, I'm AnnMarie Jones, photographer for this website and this page is here to let you know a little about me.
Wildlife, Landscape & Portrait photographer; you could also call me a conservationist, small-holder, horse enthusiast, parent, home educator, amateur astronomer & general libertarian. I live in a beautiful wooded area of north-west Wales (UK).
I prefer to work on my own 'patch'; this tends to mean mainly Wales and extending to the UK in general. I work by producing images of the whole ecosystem from large landscapes to tiny macros. My passion is to photograph & share the beauty of this world. Stylistically, I'm drawn to details with the occasional foray in to the more sublime.
Academically I studied a wide variety of subjects at school before specialising to study Physics, Chemistry & Biology to advanced level. At University my top specialities were Nutrition, Physiology & Biochemistry. I subsequently worked in Industry gaining Managerial, Accounting & Computing experience before leaving to start my own business and follow my dreams.
My photography has been published across various parts of the world. Here in the UK you may have seen it in publications as diverse as The Sun & the Telegraph or Countrylife & BBC magazines. Whilst not motivated by competition, I've occasionally entered such and have received recognition & awards from organisations, competitions & exhibitions (BWPA, SINWP, SWPP, Professional Imagemaker, etc).
When I'm not behind the camera I can be found working to improve the bio-diversity on & around our small farm in the foothills of southern Snowdonia, spending time with my horse or assisting my dear daughter with her artwork, some of which may find its way to this website.
